After decades, of consideration, west Maui will have a hospital. No, it is not rumors! In fact, the construction is under way for West Maui Hospital and Medical Facility.

For some time now, too long to consider, the Lahaina area has been promised a west Maui medical center. With the project underway, the residence, guests, and workers are excited to see the outcome.
The Hospital includes a 24 hour emergency department, over a dozen surgical beds, three operating rooms, critical care, pharmacy, laboratory, and more.
Being situated above the resorts in north Kaanapali, the Hospital is in a convenient area. Sitting on the mountainside of the highway, it overlooks Honua Kai, Westin, and the Kaanapali Beach Club. In fact, it is directly below the Kaanapali Coffee Farms.
The completion date is set for 2018. With the projected target just two years away, it is exciting to be able to witness the progress.
