About:

The Kaanapali Kai Golf Course is the more forgiving of the two available to play. Situated on the south end, the Kai course is protected from winds and plays much shorter.

Objections:

The Kai course is very narrow and this poses one of the biggest objections. If you’re a big hitter & go OB easily, I would consider playing the Royal. Away from the water, there are less Tradewinds but it can get very warm in the summer months.

Bring:

Always bring a good attitude and remember you’re in Hawaii. Besides that, consider a hat, sunscreen, rangefinder, and a couple sleeves of balls. Water, is a must.

Kaanapali Clubhouse

Check out the clubhouse, Roy’s restaurant and the souvenir shop. Either before you play or head home, it never hurts to grab a burger, beer, and a new club cover. The clubhouse has restrooms and availability to shower off should you play. The clubhouse services the guests from both the Royal and Kai Course, both visitors and locals.

Bring - Facilities

The cart girls are available throughout the day for drinks, snacks, and adult beverages.

Flagging down the cart gal too many times? Reminder, there is only one portable restroom between hole seven and fourteen. Yes, the drinks can go down easily but there are very few stops for the lavatory.

Kaanapali Activities

Fit Club

Live or vacation in the area? Check out the fit club, walking only, in the afternoon. It starts after 4 PM and as for everyone who loves the game. Check with the clubhouse for the monthly fee.

Foot Golf

For all the soccer lovers, the Kaanapali Kai course offers foot golf/soccer on certain days in the afternoon. Visit the website for further information.

Kaanapali Golf Course is located north of Lahaina in Ka'anapali.

From Lahaina / Maalaea / Kīhei: Head North on Highway 30 through Lahaina, past Safeway. Turn left at the light of Kaanapali Parkway and it’s your first entrance on the right. Staying in the area? Hop on the Kaanapali trolley.

The location is ideal with plenty of parking and convenient access in and out.
