Meet Chef Henry

Filipino-born award-winning executive chef Enrique ‘Henry’ Tariga is bursting with culinary passion gleaned from his parents' love of creating flavorful meals from fresh, local produce, and their belief in the art of cuisine as a form of self-expression. It didn’t take long after arriving in Hawaii for him to be honored with the James Beard Foundation Rising Star Award for his creations.

The Menu

The menu is inspired by Henry’s love of Polynesian, Asian, and Hawaiian cuisine, and is a real showcase of his expert culinary skills, so you can expect to find plenty of fresh seafood, fresh poke, and a variety of local plate lunches. Mahi Fish and Chips is a huge favorite of visitors here, with a side of macaroni salad to complete the classic island dish. Henry is committed to sustainability and farm-to-table dining, sourcing much of the pro- duce for his dishes from island farmers and the harbor's local fishermen. You can taste the freshness in every bite.

There is also an extensive bar menu featuring an impressive array of wines to comple- ment your meal, as well as several microbrews and a range of handcrafted cocktails. The island favorite ’Lava Flow’ is a must-try; a creative mix of Old Lahaina rum blended with fresh Maui Gold Pineapple and coconut cream poured over fresh strawberry puree. Delicious!

The Experience

The Seascape restaurant is attached to the local aquarium - Maui Ocean Center. It is, of course, an ideal lunch spot for those with tickets to the aquarium, but you don’t need to be an aquarium visitor to eat here - a wristband obtained on entry will signify you’re a restaurant patron.

Its oceanfront location makes it a fantastic spot to watch the boats cruising in and out of the harbor and even catch sight of the whales breaching in the blue waters.

The open-air setting provides the perfect backdrop for enjoying chef Henry’s delicious and freshly prepared fare. Even the tableware is locally produced and adds to the overall ambiance of the restaurant.

Opening Times

The restaurant is open daily for lunch from 11 am until 3 pm. Due to required restaurant capacity guidelines, reservations are strongly recommended.
